AmCham Food and Pharmaceutical Security Conference Keynote Speakersinclude the Ministers of Healthcare and Agriculture, the Ambassadors of theU.S., European Union, Canadian, and Netherlands, and Agriculture and Pharmaceutical experts from industry and international institutions.
Day 1 (Pharmaceutical Security) will be opened by Healthcare Minister Alexey Tsoy and will feature an Introduction from Washington by the former S. Embassy Regional Intellectual Property (IP) Attache who is well-known to the Government through his leadership of the AmCham IP Inter-Ministerial Working Group. He is now a member of the U.S. Government Operation Warp Speed (OWS) initiative to hasten development of the coronavirus vaccine.
Day 2 (Food Security) will be opened by Agriculture Minister Saparkhan Omarov and will discuss the need for Kazakhstan to fully develop its agriculture potential, thus improving self-sustainability in food supplies. Both the Pharmaceutical and Food topics address critical needs in potential healthcare crises in the future that public health experts warn may occur again given global changes.
