Corporate Social Responsibility Working Group

Launched in May 2010, the Atyrau Corporate Social Responsibility Working Group seeks to raise awareness of CSR-related issues and initiatives in the Atyrau business community and represents a vibrant platform for communication between companies, NGOs, and local authorities.

The Group studies CSR practice in the Atyrau region, the center of the oil industry. The Group focus is to identify common themes, lessons learned, overlapping spheres of activity, etc. By sharing information and collaborating on projects, the Group aims to increase the impact that their companies’ CSR programs have on the local community. Special community projects are also designed and undertaken, including support for healthcare facilities, children’s homes, and environmental projects.
