Damir Atchibayev

Damir Atchibayev has been working as a Tax Adviser at ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc. since October 2018. He is a highly experienced tax professional with over 15 years of expertise in both Kazakhstani and international taxation.

Before joining ExxonMobil, Damir worked as Tax Manager at Eastcomtrans, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s tax policy and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Atchibayev has provided strategic tax advisory services across the oil and gas, transportation, and other sectors. His core competencies include managing complex tax audits, preparing OECD-compliant transfer pricing documentation, and actively engaging with government authorities and business councils to support the development of national tax policy.

Damir holds a Master’s degree in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham (UK). He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from KIMEP University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
