AmCham Kazakhstan Tax Committee | Year-End Meeting

AmCham Kazakhstan held its final Tax Committee meeting of the year, providing a timely opportunity to wrap up key discussions ahead of the New Year and reflect on progress made throughout the year. 

The current issues, including excise tax on beer and energy drinks, SME deduction restrictions under the new Tax Code, updates on royalties and late VAT refund penalties, as well as an emerging topic related to customs duties on dividends, were largely discussed. Members aligned on next steps for continued advocacy in 2026. 

The meeting also served as a moment to thank committee members for their active engagement, expertise, and constructive contributions throughout the year. Tax Committee Board members, who were unable to attend our Gala Awards Dinner, were presented with the AmCham Service award for their dedication and excellent service.
