AmCham Trade, Transport & Logistics Committee: Key Outcomes from Our December Meeting 

Last week, the AmCham TTL Committee brought together members from across the logistics, FMCG, and legal sectors for an in-depth discussion on the evolving challenges and opportunities in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. 

Our session featured a detailed presentation by Marina Kuznechevskaya, CIPE on regional logistics barriers and digitalization efforts, followed by a committee-wide prioritization of issues for 2026 advocacy. Members agreed to focus on three key priorities: 
• Border-crossing delays and the rise of express-queue fees 
• Transit documentation and procedures  
• Non-transparent allocation of bilateral transport permits (“dозволы”) 

AmCham will now begin preparing issue briefs on the priority topics, in close coordination with committee members, ahead of upcoming engagements with government counterparts.
