AmCham is your bridge to government leaders and policy makers. Through sustained dialogue and targeted initiatives, we help members manage issues, overcome challenges and unlock new opportunities.
For more than a decade, AmCham has conducted a dialogue with the Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers on investment barriers that impact member companies and the government of Kazakhstan. The council has succeeded in addressing issues including on labor, tax, privatization, deregulation and the judiciary.
With support from the country’s top subject-matter experts, our committees identify, prioritize and prepare advocacy plans for issues affecting AmCham members’ ability to do business, ensuring member voices are heard in shaping key decisions.

AmCham publishes influential white papers and issue briefs, such as our reports on the top 10 barriers to foreign investment and Kazakhstan’s healthcare sector. These publications shape policy discussions, garnering attention from business leaders and policymakers alike.
Going forward, AmCham will continue supporting our member’s advocacy via briefs on issues raised by committees, white papers and other quality publications.
AmCham supports a dialogue between its members and the United States government on addressing the impact of U.S. policy on investments in Kazakhstan.
Leveraging our partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. government, AmCham connects members with partners and government stakeholders throughout the United States.
AmCham partners with the U.S. Chamber and the U.S. Department of Commerce to organize trade missions to Kazakhstan for potential investors. They involve meetings with local businesses, government agencies, and industry leaders to foster trade relationships, promote business collaborations, and enhance economic ties.
AmCham provides recommendations for U.S. business visas, offering support and enhancing application credibility. Final visa decisions are made by the U.S. government.
AmCham connects Kazakhstan’s business community through a wide range of events held in Almaty, Astana, Atyrau and other regions. These include roundtable seminars, Sundowner networking hours, and member-driven conferences and workshops.

To facilitate learning and improvement of business practices, AmCham hosts peer learning groups for CSR, government relations, communications, young professionals.
We invite members to enjoy AmCham facilities at the Almaty Rixos Business Center for up to 10 days per year. These include co-working space and a conference room that can host meetings with up to 30 participants.
