AmCham Kazakhstan FMCG Committee held its quarterly meeting on February 24

Members exchanged updates and aligned on practical compliance priorities affecting FMCG companies, including:

  • Track & Trace: strengthening the Government’s draft “principles for implementation” to support predictability and transparent scope decisions.
  • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR/ROP): tracking legislative developments and preparing member-informed input, supported by upcoming research findings.
  • Healthy nutrition concept: reviewing updated roadmaps and assessing potential implications, including labeling and excise discussions.
  • Responsible treatment of animals

We also discussed some new topics to the agenda, including the draft EAEU technical regulation on packaging safety (food-contact packaging), and the register of authorized manufacturers/authorized persons (for importers), with some being put on monitoring list.

Thank you to all member companies for their active engagement and Global Development for hosting.
