AmCham Cybersecurity Working Group Discussed Emerging Regulatory and Practical Challenges

AmCham Kazakhstan’s Cybersecurity Working Group met on March 13 to discuss current cybersecurity-related regulatory and practical challenges affecting business in Kazakhstan.

The discussion covered implementation of Kazakhstan’s cybersecurity framework, infrastructure security, trusted vendors, international regulatory approaches, the fast pace of legislative change, and technical capacity needed for compliance. Members also discussed the importance of narrowing the topic into more focused workstreams and collecting concrete business cases to help shape future advocacy.

The group agreed that the next stage of work should be business-driven and based on practical company experience. Members will now share specific issues and examples from their companies, which AmCham will compile to identify common themes and priority areas for further engagement.
