AmCham Decarbonization Committee at the RES Expo in Astana

AmCham Kazakhstan members and representatives of the Decarbonization Committee participated in the RES 2026 EXPO | Regional Ecological Summit EXPO in Astana, an important platform for dialogue and regional cooperation on sustainable development.
As part of the session โ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ,โ speakers discussed how Kazakhstan can continue strengthening its Emissions Trading System (ETS) through practical reforms that support transparency, predictability, market efficiency, and business decarbonization goals.
The session was moderated by Michael McNicholas, General Counsel of VISOR Kazakhstan and Chair of the ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฒ of AmCham Kazakhstan.

The summit brought together representatives of business, government, academia, media, and civil society to discuss practical approaches to sustainability and environmental policy.
