AmCham Companies Take Center Stage at Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress

AmCham-KZ members were out in force at the Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress June 11-12. Kamshat Galiyeva and her team at Epiroc highlighted their battery-powered vehicles and other technology to increase safety above and below ground. Toni Akiki and his team at Cummins Inc. showcased the world’s best heavy motors. Beeline Business showed off their tech to avoid collisions and prevent impaired drivers. And Batyrzhan Serik and the great folks at Borusan Cat Казахстан showed the latest in Caterpillar’s mining solutions.

We were also pleased to welcome more than a dozen U.S. companies looking to bring their world-class innovation to Kazakhstan, who presented their ideas at a roundtable with Ambassadors Magzhan Ilyassov, Erzhan Kazykhan, Julie M. Stufft, Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov and Assistant Commerce Secretary David L. Fogel at an important roundtable, organized on this end of the world by our indispensible partners at the US Commercial Service, Andrew Glass, Anastasia Mukherjee and Aliya Shaikhina
