Learning from Best Practices: AmCham CSR Network Explores the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation’s Projects in Almaty and Qosshy

As part of the AmCham Kazakhstan 𝗖𝗦𝗥 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, we continue to create opportunities for member-to-member learning and the exchange of best practices.

This week, together with the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, we held our first-ever simultaneous CSR Study Visit in Almaty and Astana (Qosshy), allowing members in both cities to take part in a shared learning experience.

We sincerely thank Ainur Karbozova, Temirlan Yerbossynov, and Aida Baimakova from the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, as well as the teams of the 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹-𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗤𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗵𝘆 for their warm hospitality and for generously sharing their expertise and experience.

Participants had the opportunity to learn not only about the Foundation’s environmental, education, and community development projects, but also about the strategic thinking behind them. Given the scale and impact of the Foundation’s work, it was especially valuable to hear how projects are selected, how priorities are established, and how regions of investment are identified to achieve long-term social impact.

We believe this study visit provided practical insights and new ideas for our members, while creating new opportunities to learn from one another and strengthen the CSR community in Kazakhstan.
