AmCham FMCG Committee Meets with Vice Minister of Trade to Discuss Digital Labeling for Confectionery

This week 𝗔𝗺𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗠𝗖𝗚 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 held a productive meeting with 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗡𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗼𝘃, alongside representatives from the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 and the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The discussion focused on the implementation of 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 and provided an opportunity for an open dialogue between the public and private sectors.

The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Jeff Erlich, Executive Director of AmCham Kazakhstan, followed by presentations from AmCham member companies – Ferrero, Mars, Mondelēz International, and Nestlé – who shared practical proposals and industry perspectives on digital labeling.

The session concluded with an engaging discussion and Q&A, where participants exchanged views on implementation challenges, regulatory considerations, and opportunities for continued collaboration.
