AmCham Kazakhstan FMCG Committee Holds Quarterly Meeting
20 Jul 2026, 16:44
On July 16, AmCham Kazakhstan’s FMCG Committee met to review key regulatory and operational issues affecting the sector, gathering about 40 members in-person and online.
The discussion focused on digital labelling requirements for confectionery products, household detergents, dietary supplements, and energy drinks. Members also reviewed developments related to the National Catalog, Extended Producer Responsibility, the Healthy Nutrition Concept, food-contact packaging regulation, and ESUTD.
Participants highlighted concerns regarding implementation timelines, incomplete technical requirements, system integration, manual data entry, traceability, and additional compliance costs. The Committee agreed to consolidate industry positions and continue engagement with relevant authorities.
The next meeting is planned at the Efes Kazakhstan JSC FE production facility, including a practical demonstration of digital labelling equipment.
Thank you to Committee Chair Chingiz Kaskeyev, all participating companies, and Nestlé for hosting the meeting.
