AmCham Tax Committee Reviews Key Tax Issues and Priorities for the New Business Season

On September 4,  𝗔𝗺𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 held its quarterly meeting to review ongoing tax policy issues, discuss new concerns raised by member companies, and agree on priorities for the coming months in light of of new Business season.

The discussion mainly focused on several key areas, including:

• challenges with 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 (𝗠𝗔𝗣) and delays affecting taxpayers;

• ongoing 𝗩𝗔𝗧 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀, including the new requirement related to the Electronic Invoicing System (ЭСФ);

• proposed amendments affecting 𝗩𝗔𝗧 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀;

• 𝗦𝗠𝗘 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 and potential next steps for renewed engagement with the Government.

Members agreed to continue work through dedicated working groups, including on VAT refunds and SME deductions, and to develop follow-up advocacy based on specific company cases and practical experience.

The Committee also welcomed new participants and encouraged members to engage more actively in the working groups and review AmCham’s existing tax issue briefs.
