On April 21, ๐๐บ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ต๐๐๐ฎ๐ป launched its new ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฒ with its first committee meeting held in Astana this year, bringing together members in person and online to discuss practical steps to strengthen Kazakhstanโs industrial and manufacturing environment.
Participants identified several priority issues where business input will be valuable, including certification and country-of-origin requirements for locally produced goods, barriers to exporting products to regional markets, the need for stronger Central Asian market integration, limited economies of scale for production in smaller markets, and challenges in developing local supplier networks that meet international quality and compliance standards.
Members also discussed how AmChamโs advocacy process can help convert business concerns into practical policy recommendations and structured engagement with relevant government stakeholders. Initial priorities were agreed, with follow-up working groups to be formed in the coming months.
Companies interested in shaping the Committeeโs future agenda and contributing to these discussions are welcome to join upcoming meetings and working groups.
We sincerely thank IMBC for generously hosting the meeting and sharing valuable insights on their work to expand local production capacity.
