AmCham Kazakhstan FMCG Committee Meeting & EFES Brewery Tour

On October 30, AmCham Kazakhstan held its quarterly FMCG Committee meeting, hosted by EFES Kazakhstan in Almaty, with members joining both in person and online.

Chaired by Chingiz Kaskeyev, FMCG Committee Chair, the meeting focused on key regulatory issues affecting the industry, including digital labeling requirements, proposed excise taxes on sugar-sweetened beverages, food advertising restrictions, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and the integration of government digital systems.

Members reviewed recent developments, shared practical challenges, and agreed on next steps for continued engagement with government authorities.

Following the meeting, participants enjoyed a guided tour of the EFES brewery, gaining firsthand insight into its production processes and operations.
